In this article, I'll be reviewing the Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill, that has recently shot to fame this year, becoming a bestseller on Amazon.com and one of the most popular treadmills in the market. The reason for this that there's a lot to get excited about, as the Horizon Evolve SG Compact Treadmill is packed with features. One of the key secrets is in the name – 'compact folding'. This means it can be folded up to a minuscule size of 10 x 59 inches, by far one of the smallest fold-up sizes around. This is all the more impressive when you consider you big and forgiving the treadmill is when you unfold it and lay it on the floor. Since this is an unbiased review, I'll have to tell you that it's not all plain sailing for the Evolve SG Compact Treadmill. Firstly, it's not the most powerful treadmill around; for it's price it has a weaker motor then you might expect (1.5 horsepower). Now, for most people this isn't any kind of a problem. The treadmill will in excess of speeds that you'll be comfortable running at, but for the Olympic trainers amongst us, you might be better off seeking something with a bit more kick.

Where the Evolve SG Compact Treadmill really shines is with it's additional features. It's been said that it looks like something out of a spaceship, and the features reflect this comment. It's got a set of built-in speakers on the sides that you can plug you iPod or MP3 player into. This means that you won't have to worry about bothering with headphones, which can be a pain to keep in when jogging along (I always find the wires can get in the way). Also, I always find that hearing music out loud is so much more inspiring then having them run through a set of small tinny headphones, and that has reflected in my running abilities. So basically, have loud speakers has helped me to train harder, and for greater distances. Overall, this is a great treadmill in a competitive market.
